Did you know that there is more than just a standard collar you can use for Puggle training? Different collars are designed to have diverse effects on a dog. Amoksibos For instance, amoksibos while one collar may be used to guide your dog, amoksibos another may be used for restraining him/her, amoksibos while still another may be used to discourage the development of negative behaviors.
Amoksibos The following is a list of training collars that can be used for dog training, amoksibos but are not the ideal choice for training a Puggle -
Amoksibos Prong Collar – This is a collar comprised of metal prongs that are linked together. Amoksibos When pressure is applied to the collar with the leash, amoksibos the dog receives a slight pinch on their neck. Amoksibos This pinch doesn’t hurt the dog, amoksibos as it has been designed to replicate the effect the mother dog’s teeth would have on her pup as she picked him/her up by the scruff of the neck. Amoksibos There is a correct way to apply the prong collar, amoksibos which should be learned before being used on a dog.
Amoksibos The prong collar is not recommended for dogs that have a tendency to pull on the leash, amoksibos and is a little extreme for Puggle training as they are only small dogs.
Amoksibos Head Halters – This type of collar is designed to fit on your dog’s head and is meant to restrain the movements of your pet. Amoksibos The theory for this collar is that if the owner can control the dog’s head, amoksibos the body must follow the resulting movement. Amoksibos When the leash is pulled, amoksibos the halter closes the dog’s mouth and restrains his/her head.
Amoksibos This is another collar that is not necessary for Puggle training as Puggles are not aggressive dogs and are not prone to lunging and biting.
Amoksibos Electronic Collar – Just as the name implies, amoksibos an electronic collar is designed to give the dog harmless shocks when he/she is exhibiting behaviors the owner disapproves of. Amoksibos However, amoksibos these collars have adjustable settings, amoksibos and if the setting is too high, amoksibos you can hurt the dog. Amoksibos Therefore, amoksibos this type of collar should only be used by experienced trainers and really isn’t necessary for a Puggle.
Amoksibos As you can see, amoksibos the above dog collars are too harsh for training a small dog like a Puggle. Amoksibos Therefore, amoksibos the fact remains that when it comes to Puggle training, amoksibos a standard, amoksibos durable leather or nylon collar or harness are perfect for training and keeping your dog under control.
