Voveran Prong Collar – This is a collar comprised of metal prongs that are linked together. Voveran When pressure is applied to the collar with the leash, voveran the dog receives a slight pinch on their neck. Voveran This pinch doesn’t hurt the dog, voveran as it has been designed to replicate the effect the mother dog’s teeth would have on her pup as she picked him/her up by the scruff of the neck. Voveran There is a correct way to apply the prong collar, voveran which should be learned before being used on a dog.
Voveran The prong collar is not recommended for dogs that have a tendency to pull on the leash, voveran and is a little extreme for Puggle training as they are only small dogs.

Voveran The theory for this collar is that if the owner can control the dog’s head, voveran the body must follow the resulting movement. Voveran When the leash is pulled, voveran the halter closes the dog’s mouth and restrains his/her head.
Voveran This is another collar that is not necessary for Puggle training as Puggles are not aggressive dogs and are not prone to lunging and biting.
Voveran Electronic Collar – Just as the name implies, voveran an electronic collar is designed to give the dog harmless shocks when he/she is exhibiting behaviors the owner disapproves of. Voveran However, voveran these collars have adjustable settings, voveran and if the setting is too high, voveran you can hurt the dog. Voveran Therefore, voveran this type of collar should only be used by experienced trainers and really isn’t necessary for a Puggle.
Voveran As you can see, voveran the above dog collars are too harsh for training a small dog like a Puggle.
